A Newsletter from the School District of South Milwaukee

Message from Superintendent Deidre Roemer

Check out the Marching Rockets!

The marching band got to use the new football field for band camp this year - that's a BIG deal because the old field couldn't take it.
It was promised that students from across the district could use the field, and that promise is being kept: Teams have been using it almost all summer and though it will be closed while the track is poured, once reopened the Recreation Department and physical education classes will be able to go out there, too!
District staff have been working all summer to get the buildings ready for the new school year. Learn how much work that takes and how seriously our building staff take the responsibility of being good stewards of our buildings.

New Website Launches Sept. 1

The School District of South Milwaukee will launch its new website on September 1. The new site has a host of improvements over the old site, including an improved calendar, news boards, and better overall appearance and mobile-friendliness. There may be a slight interruption as the switch is made Thursday-Friday. Please bear with us.

Missing a Class Schedule or Room Assignment Post Card? Update Your Registration

SDSM doesn't know if your student is returning unless you update your registration. If you haven't heard from your school about what teacher your student will have or get their high school schedule, it might be because we didn't hear from you. Log on to Infinite Campus and review your information (telephone number, email, emergency contact information, etc.) Even if nothing has changed. The entire process should only take roughly 10 minutes, can be done in either English or Spanish and will make sure everything is ready to go when school starts again in September.
