HEY, Y'ALL! I can't believe its already August and many of our volunteers are getting ready to go back to school. Y'all have helped to make such a difference this summer and we are going to continue this work throughout the year! There are plenty of opportunities to get out and volunteer in the Black Warrior River watershed. Be sure to spread the word and bring a friend along!

The EPA proposes to deny Alabama’s unsafe coal ash program. The decision will now undergo a 60-day comment period, followed by an in-person public hearing on Sept. 20th and an online public hearing on Sept. 27th.

Bluestone Coke violates Clean Water Act, polluting Five Mile Creek. As of July 14th, they have 60 days to clean up water pollution from the plant & comply with the law or SELC, representing Black Warrior Riverkeeper and GASP, will file suit in federal court.
