Fr Andrew will share some information about World Youth Day in Lisbon 2023 over the next few weekends in the bulletin.
World Youth Day started in Rome, called by St Pope John Paul II in 1986, and, as many of us remember, the Australian Catholic Church proudly hosted World Youth Day in Sydney in 2008. This year World Youth Day will be in Lisbon, Portugal, from 1 August to 6 August. The theme of this pilgrimage is "Mary arose and went with haste. (Lk 1:39)"Please keep praying for our pilgrims of Melbourne Archdiocese, especially pilgrims from the BCM: Luke, Lucy, Sophie, Shanel, Jes, Nicholas, Ron and Fr Andrew.*For your information, we will update you about the exact fundraising and donations in a couple of weeks after we finalise the amount from the account of WYD.
