Dear Friend of Copperfish Books,
 
We have some news! Copperfish Books has been a fixture in the heart of Punta Gorda for more than 10 years now, and your support has sustained one of our community’s greatest treasures! We love our store, our team, our customers, and the literary happenings that we’ve all created together. But it's time for us move on to new adventures. 

And so we are announcing that Copperfish Books is for sale. We’re contacting you directly because we know that you care about the bookstore and you may know someone who might enjoy being the new owner. Please share this message anyone you think may be interested!
 
When we opened the bookstore in 2012, we set out to create a business that would succeed for years to come. Even now, in this age of mega online stores, Copperfish is well-positioned to ensure that books and reading will remain at the forefront of the business. The key ingredients that will contribute to the success of a new owner are all in place: a loyal and vibrant customer base; an excellent reputation in our community and in the publishing world; a dedicated, experienced staff; the technology tools to remain current and effective; and a beautiful environment that appeals to many types of customers. In addition, we’re willing to share with the new owner the necessary knowledge and resources to ensure a smooth transition.
 
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about books, who loves people and wants to be of service, and who understands what it takes to operate a retail business. Please know that until the bookstore has been transferred to a new owner, we are still at the helm, ready to serve our community, and it’s “business as usual.” WE ARE NOT CLOSING.
