Amid the COVID-19 crisis, I got away from the news this morning to read a 2000-year-old letter written to a church community in Philippi. The author wrote, "I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now" (Philippians 1:3–5). I love his emphatic heart for friends and think of my own. I am thankful for you. You are a blessing.
One of the nicest blessings I have from you is hearing how you are sharing my book, Last Words, with others. Small groups and Life Groups are using it. Some are using for their Lenten and Easter devotions. I heard one person is reading it with an agnostic friend. A number of you have shared your thoughts about the book on Amazon and other sites. Thanks for letting me know how it has benefited you, your prayers, and your friendships.
May God, our Father, give you a sense that you are not alone in our days of social distancing. May you know his presence and feel a sense of belonging through faith in his Son. And may your joy be full through his Spirit.

Life -
On February 15th, I went to Peru with thirteen other people from my church on a mission trip. It was wonderful. We helped at an orphanage and visited Ronny and Kari Silva, missionaries we support. You can pray for them. They scheduled to head back to the US, but Peru closed the border.
March 1st was my 18th wedding anniversary. WOW, time flies! I am a blessed man.
Adjusting to the virus is a day by day process. My heart goes from fear to faith to fear and back again. This is quite an opportunity to reflect and recalibrate. God, we need your help.
