Disclaimer: the NEWSLETTER turns one today. Evoke International has been around for yonks – over a decade (with a combined figure of four decades of experience in the services that we offer, but we don't mean to humble brag or anything!)

We started our newsletter a year ago because we wanted to not only have another way to communicate what we do with you but to also show a different side to us. Companies are made up of people – people with many strokes, interests, goals, pursuits and side hustles. The newsletter is about bringing together our industry intel and expertise with our personalities. We combine the high and low and everything in between. From how food insecurity has increased during the pandemic to the Quintin Tarantino films you need to watch while eating chicken wings. We indulge in cultural fluff as much as we pioneer digital transformation. One doesn't negate the other. It adds to our colour wheel, if you will.
Felicitations and celebrations are therefore in order on this auspicious occasion – you'll find a lot of love bombing from our nearest and dearest clients/people we have worked with along the years who have a thing or two to say about Evoke 🤩
Right, back to our usual service. This week, The Mind Lab has an opinion piece on the pros and cons of a 4-day work week – a topic that is taking up a lot of discussion now that the pandemic has forced us to reassess productivity with the working-from-home movement. Do let us know your thoughts by emailing info@evoke-international.com we'd love to hear how you or your company are making work, work differently now.
We highly recommend you firstly, head to our Spotify playlist, and secondly, play 'I Just Want To Celebrate' by Rare Earth on repeat in honor of our birthday.

We may have given it (ever so slightly) away on our social media last week that our clients and the folks we work with have been sending in a lot of love recently. That's because, over the last few weeks, we have been gathering Evoke testimonials to celebrate our 1-year newsletter anniversary.
Check them out, they really do speak for themselves.

We're in a giving mood right now. In light of our newsletter anniversary, we're putting together a big little offer on two of our key services. Drum roll, please...
If 2019's buzzword was strategy and 2020's was change, 2021's is digital transformation. Without a doubt. We believe Digital Transformation is not just a technology shift, it’s a generational mindset shift of how companies grow, engage and manage their relationships with their customers, employees and larger world in the experience economy. And to use our much-loved slogan, shift happens, so you may as well deal with it! You've got to be in it for the long haul, so strap in and get comfortable. We'll make the ride fun, don't worry!
AND, we'll throw in our Public Relations service at a hot price to go with it. So what's our Public Relations all about? Well, we are of the mindset that perception is everything. In the era of big data and instant global communications, a preened and polished public image has a lasting impression – which is what you need when you're in touching (well, now social) distance of everyone else. We will help you understand what needs to change, corrected and promoted. We're not about that fair weather 'fly by press release' situation – it's about holistically looking at your world and the one you're trying to create by building a long-term strategy so that you're still good to go in the next 10 years.

Can A 4-Day Work Really Work?
|
|
As part of our extensive work within internal and external communications, we study our relationship with work. Over time we have come to realize that it’s about working smarter, not harder. Our Communications Director, Georgie Bradley, explores the implications of a less is more approach to work.

We know everyone says it's not all work, it's about play, too – and as much as we don't want to sound like a broken record, there is truth in the truism. Like we said earlier, we are all about ingesting the complex and the trivial in equal measure. In fact, we love nothing more than thinking deeply about the more 'playful' things in life. Read ' em and ponder away.
