How do I know if I have encountered Jesus? |
God is Love - Encyclical by Benedict XVI |
This week Fr Mike Schmitz (in the video above) talked about his conversion story and made reference, in particular, to his encounter with Jesus through the confessional. He encouraged those watching his video to read through the encyclical by Pope Benedict 'Deus Caritas Est' (God is Love) and to discover in ourselves how we encounter Christ - perhaps through Sacraments, through Scripture, through prayer, or through our encounter with others. The encyclical takes around 2 hours to read and is one of Pope Benedict XVI's encyclicals from his first year in his Pontificate - an audiobook has been made and can be accessed on Formed.
