I am a gloopy, exhausted, shell of a writing gremlin.
After a three month marathon, during which I rewrote my entire 70K+ word novel three times… I submitted the draft to my editor last weekend, and immediately melted into an incoherent puddle.
I don’t know how I managed to keep myself together this long, but it definitely had something to do with my partner’s extraordinary patience (and homemade pineapple cake), the energy drinks I randomly found in my basement, and the book I’m recommending today.
I tore through The Raven Scholar, mostly during the late-night hours when I was supposed to be resting for my next writing sprint.
It simultaneously made me want to write a million stories, and break down in tears because my writing is nowhere near this good (yet?).
Please read it so we can talk about it, once I can form full sentences again.
