Dear <<First Name>>,
We need <<Organization>>'s support to write to the Infrastructure and Environment Committee, regarding the recommendations of agenda item IE14.4 - Cycling Infrastructure and Missing Sidewalk Installation,
to construct cycle tracks between Bloor St. W. and Davenport Road this summer. This is an important step towards enhancing safety on Avenue Road, a cause that the Avenue Road Safety Coalition (ARSC) fully supports. However, we are very concerned that some vital pedestrian safety issues in the Avenue Road Study are not receiving the attention they deserve. We want your help to draw attention to the pressing need to also address the unsafe sidewalks north of Davenport Road. Here's how you can help:
We are providing a letter that you can easily send to the Infrastructure and Environment Committee. (You can edit it if you wish. It always helps to include some personal reasons why this issue matters to you.) Tell them that meaningful efforts are needed to specifically address the dangerously narrow sidewalks north of Davenport Road. Your letters can significantly influence their decision and help prioritize pedestrian safety.
Together we must continue to press for tangible changes to make Avenue Road from Bloor all the way to St. Clair a more people-friendly, climate-friendly, and efficient transportation corridor that is safe for everyone, including walkers, wheelers and drivers.
Thanks to <<Organization>>, and the other 31 ARSC organizations and thousands for supporters, we are making progress metre by metre towards our collective goal of a safer Avenue Road. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to be in touch.
Important: please make sure that you fill in your name, postal code and organization at the end of the letter before sending.
