All of these events have a sense of place and a regular schedule. If you've been to one you know what it is. Old Town has a sense of place, but we haven't quite committed to activating our spaces, together, on the regular.

Let's get locals to rediscover Old Town! To do this, we are starting a Second Saturday event. Every month, on the second Saturday of the month (hence the name), we encourage merchants to join other businesses and stay open until 8pm to help encourage locals to make Old Town a place to hang out, shop, and eat.

There are only TWO RULES to participate.

Stay Late & Activate!

That's the point. Let's activate Old Town every 2nd Saturday Night, every month of the year. Let's start making the 2nd Saturday an extra special place to be in Old town. Thank you to those who have gone before us and the grassroots planners to get this idea going. Let make a splash with the next one!

The next Second Saturday falls on September 14th and we are partnering with Yelp to celebrate Latinx Hispanic Heritage Month. Yelp has invited their Yelp Elite group to rediscover Old Town from 5pm-8pm on Saturday 14th.

Yelp will have a table set up where guests will check in and will be provided a Loteria playing card highlighting participating retailers that are open during the event with programming, demos, samples, freebies etc. significant to the Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month. Guests who complete the Loteria will receive a free swag bag with items provided from Yelp and Old Town vendors.

You can still participate in September's "Old Town 2nd Saturday Night" even if you don't want to be part of the Yelp process.To participate, just Stay Late & Activate!
