This 11th issue arrives at a moment of particular intensity. The months covered here, from February to June 2026, have brought more forcible expulsions, violent confrontations at the Youth Centre and the Town Hall, and a series of court rulings that have significantly narrowed the legal protections available to residents. At the same time, responses within and around the community continue to grow, with widening national and international attention.
Since the closure of Auroville Today magazine in late 2025, the need to give space to community voices has only grown. This issue features three exclusive interviews: with Alexandra and Jessamijn of the Endangered Craft Mugaam, with Ancolie, born and raised in Auroville, and with David Wickenden, primary author of the Auroville Global Fellowship's second report.
