Asthma management continues to evolve as new evidence reshapes best practices for athlete care and participation. This issue explores updated recommendations that recognize asthma as an inflammatory condition from the earliest symptoms, while highlighting changes in reliever medication strategies and the growing role of ICS-formoterol inhalers. It also examines approaches for managing exercise-induced asthma, the importance of personalized treatment plans, and how objective testing can support safe participation and optimal performance outcomes.
