A quick update from WIAA — and a date to mark in your calendar

Hello, IA enthusiasts!

Whether you're enjoying a break, in the middle of a busy project, or somewhere in between — we hope you're doing well. It’s been a little while since our last newsletter, so we wanted to check in with a quick update.

As you may know, WIAA is a volunteer-run organization. Over the past few months, we've been working behind the scenes on two big projects:

A redesign, tool selection to update and maintain our website, and preparation for a content migration of the current World IA Day website. Stay tuned, it's coming together nicely!
The theme selection process for World IA Day 2026, which is still in the evaluation phase. We’ve received a lot of thoughtful input and are excited about where it’s heading. What you can do meanwhile, is marking March 7, 2026 as the date for the next edition of our worldwide event.

These projects have kept us busy, so we’ve hit pause on our usual monthly format. But don’t worry, we’ll be back with a full update in August.

Want to get more involved? Volunteer, pitch a talk for World IA Cafe, or consider hosting a local event in 2026.
