Welcome to your

Weekly Update

Brick Church

Last week we held our second Brick Church, moving into the main church building to escape the heat. We hoped the cooler space would encourage families to join us, and we were delighted to welcome 9 children, a great growth from our first session. It was especially lovely to welcome back children from our first Brick Church, who were still able to remember the Bible story we explored together. Parents shared how much they loved the simplicity of the session, as it helped children engage more. They also fed back that personal invitations and word of mouth are the best ways to help families discover events like these, so please do invite those you know to future church events!

Village Day

Village Day was a great success! Our stall gave us the opportunity to chat with lots of local families and promote our upcoming events. The children enjoyed getting involved with the different crafts, as well as our “build the tallest tower in 30 seconds” challenge. A huge thank you to everyone who helped by setting up, packing down, and manning the stall. A special thank you to Tina for creating the fantastic decorations that helped make our stall look so welcoming!

Groove and Glow

Groove and Glow is back! Following the popularity of our previous musical theatre workshops, we are excited to be running our next session on 27th August. This time we are extending the workshop from two hours to four, giving children even more time to be creative and have fun in the church. Please help us spread the word and invite anyone who might enjoy it. We would also really appreciate your prayers for this event, that it would be a blessing to all who come along.

Glow Update

Last Sunday Jacqy ran a special Eco Glow, where the children enjoyed a tour of the pastoral garden and made their own bug hotels. July 12th will be our last Glow before we give our volunteer team a well-earned break over the summer holidays. During this time, I’ll be based in the creche corner with crafts for children each week, which will contribute towards a church banner to use after the summer. Some toys will also be available in the church room if needed during the service, although children are always welcome to stay in the church. Glow will restart on September 6th.

Our weekly notice sheet is available both online (click here) and in church. Excerpts from our 10 o’clock service last Sunday are available here.
