I've recently gotten into Jennifer McMahon's novels.  If you love well-written, creepy, horror, then you should give her books a try. Silo is based on author Hugh Howey's excellent trilogy of books, Wool, Shift and Dust.  The last of humanity's survivors have taken refuge in a subterranean city, 144 levels deep, a massive spiral staircase standing tall at its center.  The surface's toxic atmosphere ensures death to anyone who leaves the silo...
