Breadness Buzz - New Sunday Hours, Free Bread, Mix Stix, Pecans This Week

Important news! Were changing our Sunday hours from 10 to 2 to 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We've noticed more and more people coming to the bakery after 2 p.m. on Sunday and less people coming between 10 and 11 a.m. So we're changing things up a bit, starting one hour later and staying open for 5 hours instead of 4. We hope you take advantage of this extra time when planning your afternoon/evening meals!

Note: for the next month or so we will continue to be open at 10 a.m. as many folks have already received our promotional postcards with the Sunday 10 to 2 info. We've updated our website, yelp, DoorDash and Google with the hours change so we'll be staying till 4 p.m. regardless.

We LOVE Laura Ann's Jams and we LOVE Laura Ann, who not only makes these jamazing spreads, but also delivers them to us personally! So I decided to surprise Laura Ann with a special gift that was made with her in mind. I've had one of these sets hanging in my recording studio for years and as I was looking at them the other day, I thought, these would be PERFECT for Laura Ann. After all, she's a former Rock drummer from Chicago, and she makes amazing jams! I actually found these on line and nabbed them before they were all gone. What did I give Laura Ann? Mix Stix, of course!

One end of Mix Stix is the Cookin' End with a spoon on one and a slotted spoon on its mate. The other end is the Rockin End which has the same kind of tips found on professional drum sticks! As you can see, Laura Ann was jazzed to receive her very own Mix Stix! Come taste Laura Ann's jams and you'll soon be jammin', too!

Last week we sold out of our Organic Artisan Cinnamon Raisin Maple Walnut Sourdough. For this week, we're back to using organic pecans for this bread. Corky's organic Walnuts are in high demand so we're in communication to become a vendor for their products, which include an awesome Walnut Butter. Will keep you updated on Corky's in future issue of Breadness Buzz!

Mother's Day is coming so now's the time to think of what Breadness Gift Mom might fancy for that special day. We'll be putting together some sweet, savory and spicy groupings next week to get you started. Of course, you can always give her one of our Gift Cards and let her go on a shopping spree at the bakery!

Random Acts of Breadness is located at 2214 West Magnolia Blvd. in Burbank (2-1/2 blocks east of Buena Vista on the south side of the street). Come to the bakery and sample our artisan wares, or order on line for bakery pickup, or have Breadness delivered or shipped to your door. You may also order by phone at 818-562-7303 and pay when you come pick it up. We're open Friday & Saturday 12 to 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Note: If you (or someone you wish to gift) live within 120 miles of Los Angeles, we can ship on Thursday (via UPS Ground) and in most cases your Breadness Box will arrive on Friday (Saturday at the latest). Place your order before Thursday at noon here.
