Construction Activities Soon to be Underway

Starting next week, the Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority (RWSA) will begin the Ragged Mountain Pool Fill Project, a major infrastructure effort designed to support a clean, reliable, and sustainable water supply for our thriving community. While this work will temporarily impact access to parts of the Ragged Mountain Natural Area, the long-term benefits will be felt at many taps throughout the region.

We understand that the construction may disrupt the peaceful experiences many have come to cherish. These natural spaces offer more than just recreation; they’re a source of relaxation, reflection, and connection to the outdoors. While it's our goal to keep as much of the natural area open as possible, it may be fun to explore other outdoor areas in our region. We've compiled a few resources that should point you in the right direction should you feel a little adventurous.
