Welcome to our

September 2026 newsletter

We hope that you have had a good summer break. The PEB screening is our big public event for the autumn, on Saturday 3rd October

2.30 - 4.30pm at Frodsham Community Centre.

People's Emergency Briefing (PEB)

The PEB has over 3,500 screenings listed and more are being added all the time. The heatwaves and wildfires that have affected Europe this summer have brought home the fact that climate change is an emergency! All of us, governments and people, need to take more notice and make changes, in order to reduce the impact on our lives. The Frodsham screening is free and more details are given on the poster above. We ask people to book in advance, to help us with numbers - see the link below.

Please let us know if you are willing to help at the PEB screening - we are hoping for a good sized audience and need stewards etc. Contact us using: info@climateactionfrodsham.com

Chris Packham Petition

The heatwaves and wildfires of summer 2026 have shown many people the reality of climate change. Chris Packham has set up a petition, asking the government to deliver a televised emergency briefing about the facts of the situation. We invite you to add your name to this petition:

Warmer Homes/Cooler Homes

The CAF illustrated talk "Warmer Homes/Cooler Homes" will be presented by Chris Cleaver at the WI meeting on Thursday 3rd September, at Frodsham Community Centre. This meeting is for WI members, but female members of the public are welcome to attend. The meeting begins at 7.30 pm.

Explore Solar for your Home

Cheshire West and Chester Council has partnered with Switch Together to help residents explore solar panels and battery storage through a trusted group-buying scheme.

With energy prices remaining unpredictable, more households are looking at ways to generate their own electricity, reduce reliance on the grid, and take greater control of their energy costs.

Click on the link for more information. You must register your interest by 25 September 2026.

Please email me on info@climateactionfrodsham.com if you would like to travel together.

Visit the Transition Wilmslow website below to book a free ticket (to help the organisers with numbers).
