Welcome to the March bulletin.

What a month we've just had with two superb bands playing the Club during February. Thanks for everyone who came along and supported them. The musical theme continued with our much anticipated music quiz, for which we had a packed-out lounge and could have even had more contestants if we'd had the space. Congratulations to Jay and Cath Threlfall for taking the top prize.

This month, most of the events are stacked towards the end of the month, with another classic bingo night, and the Carabao Cup final across one weekend, and rounded off with Mixtape Muse who will be making their Broadway Club debut. Please come along and support them.

A word from our Chairman

Welcome to our March bulletin. February has been a very busy month and it has been wonderful to see so many new faces in the Club. I'd like to welcome all our new members who have joined us in the past couple of weeks and look forward to seeing you all enjoying the Club for years to come.

I'd especially like to give a special thank you to Sue Charlton who as many of you will know, runs our "Last Man Standing" football competition, which brings great enjoyment to many of our members.

Club matters

Club Secretary vacancy

Due to work commitments, Guy Hillier will be stepping down from the role of Club Secretary at the end of this month. The Broadway Club committee is seeking to appoint a new Club Secretary and we are initially inviting applications from members within the Club.

If you are interested in applying for the role or finding out more information, please email the Club at info@thebroadwayclub.co.uk and you will be sent further details.

Club Treasurer vacancy filled

The Committee are pleased to announce the appointment of Barry Simons as our new Club Treasurer. Barry will be replacing Alan Davey, who is standing down after several years of dedicated service to the Club. We wish Barry all the best with his new role. Alan will be signing off from his long stint as treasurer at the upcoming AGM, where he will officially hand over to Barry..

Annual General Meeting

The Committee have set the date for the Club's AGM, which will take place on Sunday 12th April at 10:30am. If you are planning to attend, please make sure you arrive between 10am and 10:30am because we will be locking the doors at 10:30am sharp, so if you're late, you'll have to watch events play out through the front window.

As usual if you have any AOB which you would like discussed at the AGM, please send details to info@thebroadwayclub.co.uk at least two weeks before the meeting. As with previous meetings, we will not accept any new AOB for discussion on the day, so if you have something to raise, please make sure you send it before the deadline of March 28th.

At the Club this month

Bingo night

Join us on Saturday 21st March for another Broadway classic bingo night! As usual, places are limited to 60 seats, so make sure you get down to the Club to reserve your seat on the noticeboard. Places for previous nights have filled up quickly, so don't miss out on your chance to play. Keep an eye out on the noticeboard for the signup sheet.

Food may be ordered for this event and will need to be paid for by Wednesday 18th March. If you wish to play but don’t want food, you will be charged a refundable £5 deposit per person to secure your seats.

Carabao Cup Final

Come along to the Club on Sunday 22nd March to watch the first domestic Cup final of 2026. The Carabao Cup Final 2026 promises to be an exhilarating football showdown at Wembley Stadium, where current Premier League leaders Arsenal will battle for glory against one of the most successful teams in recent years Manchester City.

Kick off is at 4:30pm, but the Club is likely to be busy, so make sure to get there early and reserve your seat.

Mixtape Muse

Containing current members of the Club, MixTape Muse will be making their debut at the Broadway this month. They are a lively six‑piece pop and rock covers band, known for upbeat, crowd‑pleasing sets that span decades of chart favourites. They focus on creating an energetic, feel‑good atmosphere built around strong dual vocals, tight musicianship, and a set-list designed to get audiences singing and dancing.

Come on down to the Club on Saturday 28th March for another evening of great entertainment and support the band as they take to the Broadway stage for the first time. The entry price for guests is £3, payable on the door.

Meat raffle

Don't forget about our meat raffle, which takes place on Friday 27th March between 9pm and 10pm with some great prizes to be won. Tickets are available at the bar, payable in cash.
