The exhilarating drive of Parafone's music is as good as anything coming from Africa. It is a fine example of how one finds inspiration in the rich local cultural heritage of southern Italy to innovate. Calabria is not only a geographical area with a long history of virtuous contaminations, but also the cradle of one of the most ancient and rooted forms of Tarantella.

« Alessandro D'Alessandro tells the story of the diatonic accordion, and explores new territories".
Alessandro D'Alessandro is considered one of the most innovative Italian accordionists ("organetto") for his technique and versatility. He has been able to bring the instrument to a new level, significantly expanding its expressive capabilities and sound, thanks also to a skillful use of electronics. In this direction comes "Canzoni," his debut solo album released by Squilibri Editore in 2021. It's a project that explores the world of singer-songwriters, with the transposition of some classics into the language of a "prepared" accordion, which, in his hands, seems to take on "the breath of an orchestra."
