DAILY NEMBUTSU
Geeta Chari: Let’s do some Nembutsu every weekday morning at 6:30 am Rome time. We begin to chant straightaway, without social talk, for 20 minutes, in chain-style. There is a bell rung at the end. People who wish to stay and talk afterwards are welcome to do so. Saturdays and Sundays are rest days. Namo Amida Bu
Every Thursday there is a half-hour reading and discussion of the Summary of Faith and Practice from 06:00 to 06:30, followed by Nembutsu as usual.

TALKING ABOUT PRACTICE
Andrew Cooper: My failure to accomplish or attain any of what I had hoped I would when I set out on the Buddhist path is, I think, the thing that has most enriched my practice.
Wendy Shinyo: This is my experience exactly and why discovering Shinran and Jodo Shin Buddhism, enriched my life as a Dharma "practitioner" ... although in Shin Buddhism, practice isn't really "practice."
DB: This is the inestimable value of Pure Land - however, it is also interesting and of value to reflect upon (a) how & why one had such hopes & (b) what other hidden intentions & attachment thwarted one's attempt & (c) what wisdom lies hidden within those experiences. Our ambition defeats us, our ideals delude us, but our reality awakens a bigger world.
