The Bush School Bus Program Expands to Five Routes
Beginning on the first day of school, Wednesday, August 27, The Bush School is thrilled to launch five bus routes to better serve our families and expand transportation access across the region. Last year, Bush had over 19% of its student body take the bus at least to or from school or both. We are hoping to increase this number to over 20% of students participating in the program with the expansion of route options. Click here to learn more about the Blazer Bus Program.
The Bush School Summer Construction
The Bush School campus is bustling this summer not only with multiple summer programs running and general maintenance projects but also with “Make Ready” Construction to disentangle utilities and HVAC systems in preparation of our new Center Campus Construction Project slated to break ground in January 2026.
We look forward to hosting a Neighbors meeting this fall to provide plans, logistics and answer any questions you may have regarding the Center Campus Construction Project. Please be on the lookout for further communications.
The Bush School Welcomes Head of School Sarah Smith
On Tuesday, July 1, we welcomed and celebrated Sarah Smith on her first official day as Bush’s Head of School!
With deep roots in our community and a bold vision for the future, Sarah, who is Bush's tenth Head of School, steps into this role with a heart for students, a mind for possibility, and a commitment to nurturing open minds.
“I continue to be honored and deeply humbled by the opportunity to serve in this role,” Sarah said. “After four years serving on the leadership team, I have such deep appreciation for the history of the school and all that Bush has been and done in its first century, while also carrying vision and hope for all that we can still accomplish alongside of and on behalf of those squarely at the center of our mission: our students."
Sarah is excited to meet our neighbors and continue to cultivate the supportive partnership that has been present for so many years between the school and our wonderful neighborhood community members.
