Let me tell you, the last couple of weeks have been rough. Despite having more email subscribers than ever, and more ARC readers, and more general visibility altogether, the release of Tit Me With Your Best Shot has been much less successful than I originally anticipated.
In fact, on release day, I didn't have a single sale. Which, I'm sure you can imagine, was just a little bit devastating. I have a hard time maintaining positivity on the best of days (I tend to use all of my optimism energy points helping my kids with school drama), so by the time I need to pump myself up, there's not much left for me. You know what made it better, though? The reviews from my ARC readers. Hearing what they loved about the book, or how they actually laughed out loud while reading it, did wonders for my heart. (see what people are saying about Tit Me With Your Best Shot here)
And that brings me to what I need from you today. I need book recommendations, the funnier the better. Help me build my "cheer me up" TBR by letting me know what your favourite romcom is. And if it's written by an indie author? *chef's kiss* Even better.
So, hit me with your best. I've read a lot of romcoms, but I want to know which books, and which authors, never fail to make you laugh until you cry. Reply to this email, or tag me on one of my socials. I'll get my copy and paste fingers ready :D
Here's my list of my top 5 rereads if you need some inspiration for your own TBR
News from home
I am knocking on ALL the wood when I say this, but Rocky has been seizure free since March 7th. Am I still anxious all the time? Yes. Of course. But am I so happy for Rocky? Absolutely. With this improvement in his health, he's getting a lot more vocal. It's been years since he barked at seeing animals on TV, and he's recently started doing it again (the dog with the yellow towel from the Gain commercial is one of his favourites). It gets funnier every time. Not only that, he sings a little song when he's decided it's time to go for a walk. When I say my heart is full... ❤️
Look at this handsome boy!

It's been nearly a decade since Elle Sloan last saw Luke Hutchins. Close to ten years since she broke up with him over a single phone call, providing him with little explanation. Since the end of their relationship, Elle has done everything she could do to move on, marrying, proceeding forward with her life, almost allowing herself to completely forget about Luke.
Almost.
Out of nowhere, Elle receives a phone call from Luke's mother. Luke has been in a horrific car accident and, a month later, has just awoken from a coma. However, instead of celebrating, his family is stunned to learn that Luke is suffering from amnesia and only remembers his life as it was before his breakup with Elle. Not wanting to tell Luke that he and Elle aren't together anymore for fear it may compromise his recovery, Elle is asked by Luke's family to come to the hospital to see him. Their hope is that she will slowly be able to jog his memory and cushion the blow. Guilt-ridden over how their relationship ended, Elle readily agrees, finding herself transported back in time with Luke to the life they once shared and the future they could have had together.
