Customer Quote of the Week:
"I didn't know bread could be that good!" — Wanye
NOTE: If this is your first Breadness Buzz, or if you've been part of our tribe but missed earlier posts, visit the Breadness Buzz Archive here and catch up on this content written especially for you. It's a great way to meet like-minded artisan sourdough aficionados and be part of this journey I started back in 2016. And now for this week's Buzz...
Just outside our window, a most amazing creation in the sky...
Magic happens inside and outside our micro-bakery, like this sunset skywriting I happened to catch before it faded away. With a heart at each end and JE30 in the middle, could be a 30-year anniversary of J&E. Whatever it meant, thousands of people had the opportunity to see it and smile. Did you see this message when it happened October 21st?
It all began 7 years ago...
Hard to believe but it was 7 years ago in early November that I had the thought that changed my life (and touched the lives of thousands): "I wonder if I could make sourdough bread?" After 6 weeks I had finally made a loaf that looked and tasted like real sourdough bread, just in time to give 4 loaves as gifts to family and friends. Behold the amazing gift wrap creations that Cyndie dreamed up...
After the response we got from those who were gifted the first 4 loaves, the giving continued throughout the year (and the next year, and the next...).
Begin (or continue) your gifting tradition with Random Acts of Breadness, for those special people in your life...
Riding in Style...
I've had a passion for 2-wheeled rides from an early age. I had a Schwinn Sting-Ray bike, a Flexo minibike (powered), a Honda 305 motorcycle (which was given to me dead and I brought it back to life), and my last bike was a Honda 450 Scrambler which I converted into a touring machine and made a few trips from Marin County to Los Angeles (and back) while stationed at Hamilton Air Force Base in the Novato area. So when this new customer left our shop and set his bags on this BMW R1200RS dream bike, I just had to grab the camera! He was kind enough to take the Breadness out of the bags for all to see. BMW motorcycles and Breadness... let's ride!
It's Raining Breadness...
