Last newsletter, I announced I was going to bang out a quick short story for a reader magnet. I'm still working on it, but I'm hoping by May, I'll have it written, edited, and available for reading. Between my trip to Toronto last month, focusing on school work, and editing
Outside The Game, I haven't been able to really focus on it. I've also been outlining two stories simultaneously while watching House, so clearly as you can see, I am once again doing the most while doing the least. I'm hoping to get meds for it.
Outside The Game should be completely edited by the end of this month. Freeing me up to start work on
Grisly Politics,
book 2 in the Detective Miller series. Super excited to finally reach the end of this round of editing with
Outside The Game because motivating myself to get to this point has certainly felt like pulling teeth. However, the real celebration comes once it's released. I might even do a video for it because that's how excited I am about it lol. Oh, if you missed the sneak peek of
Outside The Game from the last newsletter, it's now available publicly until the end of the month.
Go take a read!
While I'm editing
Grisly Politics, I plan to finish writing the second book in the
IFL Tales series, which will focus on another player of the Fleur Di Lis, Kalisha Wright. She gets introduced in the first book and some of her trials and tribulations get mentioned during it, so of course I was like, "Ooh! A second book!" To be quiet honest, Kalisha's story is going to be tense and emotional, which sort of deviates from the mild angst in
Outside The Game. As you can tell, I am quite eager to finish that story because other than making my readers cry, I love making myself emotional.
*breaks out chair and sits on the edge of it*
As you can tell, I've mentioned a busy schedule up top. Some of you are probably wondering, and having been waiting since 2018, where the fuck is the second Avery Lawson book?!? I understand the frustration and aggravation because I too would like the 2nd Avery Lawson book to come out. I need to outline the 3rd one. I mean I can outline it with what I have, but I'm a stickler about consistency. Anyway, once I have
Grisly Politics under my belt and with my editor, that will be my primary focus until it's finished. 2025 will be the year of Avery Lawson come hell or high water.
