Congrats to the Grads!

MY FAVORITE COMMENCEMENT SPEECH: NEIL GAIMAN - "MAKE GOOD ART"

You probably know someone who graduated some level of school or college around this time. When I went to school, there were 3 graduations: Elementary (6th Grade), Junior High (9th Grade) and High School (12th Grade). And then there's Junior College, College, and Post Graduate Degrees.

One day you were a senior at one of these stops along the way, and 3 months later, you were at the bottom of the totem poll at your next school. And somehow, you survived, and learned life's lessons along the way.

Congratulations to all who have reached any of the above milestones!

And regardless of what you majored in and/or excelled at and/or you dreamed about doing for the rest of your life, there's nothing like an inspirational speech by someone who has achieved some success and has the gift to communicate his successful actions to a receptive group of graduates.

My favorite commencement speech ever is one I never get tired of watching/listening to multiple times. It's delivered by author Neil Gaiman and he speaks from the heart, about the arts, for the benefit of all the young artists in the audience graduating from University of the Arts back in 2012.

Do carve out about 20 minutes of your time where you can watch this without interruption. I believe that you will be inspired by Neil's words.
