Challenge to TABOR Moves Through the Legislature

Despite losing a federal case several years ago, liberals in the legislature are at it again, working to pass a Resolution that would force taxpayers to fund a lawsuit challenging TABOR. Police Chiefs Grateful for Advance Colorado's Work on Public Safety

The Colorado Association of Police Chiefs recently penned a letter to Governor Polis and legislative leaders, urging them to pass legislation to make Colorado safer and to reject extreme legislation that allows more criminals on the streets and crime in our neighborhoods.

In the letter, the Chiefs wrote, "Your constituents have clearly expressed their priorities—voting overwhelmingly to support Proposition 130 ($350 million for law enforcement) and Proposition 128 (truth in sentencing). They expect legislative action that aligns with these values."

These two measures were sponsored by Advance Colorado in 2024, and we continue to work with law enforcement to pursue future measures to further public safety, especially in policy areas where the legislature refuses to listen to citizens and the law enforcement community.
