Hello Reverbians!
Curiouser and Curiouser is a month away and we are getting Exciteder and Exciteder! Our Live Music is proving to be another great year for performances at Reverbia and our hub location at 8:15 and Esplanade. We are tremendously looking forward to reconnecting with our past Reverbia Community Friends and meeting our new Reverbia Community Friends!
ESSENTIAL ZOOM MEETING FOR NEW REVERBIANSSaturday, August 3rd at noon PST. For anyone who has not camped at Reverbia, this Zoom meeting will have important info about
our camp and what is expected when you arrive and participate for the week of Burning Man. Come meet and greet many of your Camp Leads and
put personality to their
Reverbia.org photos. Key information will be
shared to assist in making your stay at Reverbia cooperative to your
Community and special for your soon to be amazing week at Burning Man.
PLEASE MAKE THIS MEETING! A Zoom invite will be sent to all Reverbians next week. We will attempt to record the meeting.
ALL CAMP Q & A ZOOM MEETINGSaturday, August 10th at noon PST. For all Reverbians with any particular questions one might want to know. We will also attempt to record this meeting.
AREA LEADS' MEETINGS WITH THEIR VOLUNTEER CREWS TBA (Kitchen, Placement, LNT, Production Management) After the Volunteer sheets are released, and you have signed up for (or been assigned) your volunteer shifts, the Camp Area Leads will be contacting their teams and hosting a meet and greet informational Zoom meeting to better prepare you.
VOLUNTEER SERVICEAs mentioned above, we will have a follow up email coming soon on the Volunteer Service area in which you have been selected for 2023 Reverbia. You will know whether you are on the kitchen, LNT, Programming, Placement, Exit, or other Service teams. After we release the Area Volunteer Team selections, Area leads will begin contacting their respective Teams with emails regarding your particular area of service. This year, every Reverbian will be required to volunteer 14 points of Reverbia service. Points equal about 1 hour per point, with some shifts weighted more.
If you haven't paid your invoice you will not be sent the volunteer sign up sheets and miss out on getting the shifts you want. REGISTRATIONOur camp is filling up... so, if you have friends and partners who you want to come this year, or have a friend who is thinking of coming but hasn't registered, then the time is nigh. We are ahead of our past year's registration numbers in a year we are scaling back the population of our Camp. We are now under Late Registration at $470.00 for Basic Camping/meals etc... and this amount is still a very good deal for camping in a theme camp at Burning Man... let alone a camp which is located on the Frontage.
TICKETSIf you have registered with Reverbia and need a ticket, please contact Randy King our Admin Lead >
randy@rrking.com ASAP... we have people in our community with secure tickets to sell and we can assist. Some of our secure tickets may be in hand... thus, avoiding Will Call.
MOOP SQUAD AGAIN THIS YEARIn addition to your regular 14 points, EVERYBODY will be required to sign up for 1 moop shift (duration one hour). Moop shifts are every day (Monday through Saturday) from 8:15am to 9:15am. Sign up for your preferred day, and set your alarm. Moop Squad will be led by the LNT Team and meet in the Bat Wing (dining area). If you don't know what mooping is, you will find out at our Newbie meeting mentioned above! Exit Team and Build Team are exempt from the mandatory moop squad, but are always welcome to join in.
INVOICESInvoices must be paid asap... as we fill up, we will be removing unpaid registrations and allowing people from our waiting list to sign up and join our camp. Right now we are not full... but we will be soon. If you have not received an invoice, please email Wendy at
revebialivemusiccamp@gmail.com as soon as possible.
RUGS/PillowsReverbia is interior designing 4 shade spaces this year and we need old rugs. NOT Carpet... because Carpet MOOPS BAD. If you have an old rug or see one at a garage sale... and want to gift it to our camp... please bring it to playa! We also could use a few more nice larger throw pillows for people to sit on.
REVERBIA.ORG Please go to
Reverbia.Org to read about Camp News, learn more about Reverbia, our Leadership, see past photos and archives... and to eventually see who will be performing at our camp for Curiouser and Curiouser (we cannot list our schedule until 1 week before Burning man... but we can share some great videos of artists we really like... wink wink). If you do figure out who may be playing at Reverbia... no posting please... we are not allowed to release our schedule to the public.
REVERBIA FACEBOOK GROUP 2024Join us on our
Facebook group to exchange ideas, see important new links, find or offer rides, share any important info with your fellow camp mates... or just to introduce yourself and say hello!!!
2024 Kitchen Core TeamOur New Amazing Kitchen Leads, Annie and Russell, need 3 more people to fill their 14 Core Kitchen Core Team. The Kitchen Core Team will volunteer 4 days on and have 4 days off during the Burn week, 6 hours per shift. Meals and camping are covered. This is different from the daily volunteers who sign up for kitchen shifts. For the past 2 months, the Kitchen Core Team have been discussing the logistics and meal planning, and are embedded with the kitchen for the whole burn. If you are passionate about feeding people, and have extensive commercial kitchen experience (or similar), please send an email of interest to
reverbia.pkw@gmail.com.
BUILD TEAMWe still have a few Build Team spots available for Tuesday and Wednesday August 19th and 20th arrival onto Playa. We are looking for people with carpentry, construction, mechanical, electrical, or just a capability to learn, contribute, and work hard with an organized team in extreme weather conditions. We also need Design/Decor Volunteers for Thursday. August 22nd to help make our spaces creatively awesome.
- Build Team does not have to do any volunteer service during the Burn Week.
- Meals for Build Week are covered.
- Avoid Traffic lines upon Entry.
- Get to see Black Rock City be built around you.-
- Visit Art Installations before the lines begin (like being in Disneyland on employee night).
- Smaller Reverbia Community Experience with our amazing Build Team.
- TWO WEEKS OF THE BURN FOR ONE!!!
And finally EXIT TEAM!!!!We are low Exit Team numbers right now and need to pick this volunteer service area up. We need 14 people to make this team efficient (and 4 people just cancelled the team… yikes).
Why Exit???
- Exit Team does not have to do any volunteer service during the Burn Week.
- Meals for the Exit Team are covered.
- Avoid Exodus lines of over 8-12 hours! Drive off Playa with not one line!
- Get to see Black Rock City taken down in a couple of days.
- Join our traditional Monday night Potluck and Decompression Campfire
- Be a part of a small team who really connect with one another through stories, songs, and jokes... while loading and mooping our 3 acres.
- Any commitment to the Exit team... commits to staying until the final moop on Tuesday (usually ending a couple of hours before Sunset).
Camp Director Doug and Registration Wendy will be the last to Exit Playa... so come and assist us to leave before Tuesday Sept 3rd Sunset (when we have to be off Playa)
We welcome any assistance on Monday Sept 1st (avoid long lines)... but all assistance needs to be packed up and car parked on the side of our property by 8am Tuesday Morning. Exit Team Must Stay until Tuesday Sunset!
ConclusionWe are anxious to meet up with our wonderful Community again and to share Amazing Live Music, great food, and good vibes together at the most incredible cultural arts experiment in the World. Thank you for joining us this year at Curiouser and Curiouser!
