Carlisle Creek edits are nearly complete and the order page will be up in the next couple of weeks. Harold got an upgrade, as you can see in the graphic, and to better complement his new look, he may have a new name when the book comes out. Or maybe not. He's been Harold from the beginning and I'm not sure he'll answer to another name. He's stubborn like that :D

I'm Canadian, and we celebrate Thanksgiving in the middle of October. This year, we invited a few family members over for dinner.

The most exciting thing that happened is Rocky's brother came to visit, so we had three dogs running around instead of our usual two. Archie is about half the size of Rocky (and less than half of Mina) but out of the three, he is the most dominant. Mina wasn't aware of this, and tried to establish her own dominance and the look of shock when Archie put her in her place was hilarious. They got along splendidly after that.  

Did you celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving? 

Do you dress up for Halloween? Or do you prefer to keep it casual? 

I used to love dressing up for Halloween, but it's been years since I put any effort into my own costume. Usually, my kids costumes need a ton of attention, but this year, my son has decided on a character from a movie and wants the store bought costume, and my daughter still doesn't know what she wants to be. Even if she decides on something that I could make, there's not enough time to do a decent job of it. I actually prefer making our costumes, but when there's not enough time, there's not enough time. And I have to admit, it's nice not spending the entire month of October constructing costumes and props.
