1. JALTCALL Forum at JALT

Join Us at the JALTCALL Forum @ JALT2025

JALTCALL will be hosting a Forum at the JALT2025 International Conference, and we hope you’ll join us for an engaging and timely discussion on technology-enhanced language learning in an era shaped by AI, multilingualism, and evolving assessment practices.

Date & Time: November 1st (Saturday) @11:00 AM
Location: Large Hall, National Olympic Youth Center, Tokyo

This year marks JALT’s 50th anniversary, and the conference theme "LanguageS: Learning, Teaching, Assessing – JALT 50 Years – Challenges and Perspectives" invites us to reflect on how we teach, assess, and adapt across languages and contexts. In line with this, the JALTCALL Forum will explore practical approaches to EdTech that are being used by our members right now. We'll also open the floor for a friendly debate on the AI use in Language Teaching and Research.

Whether you're a seasoned tech user or just beginning your journey with CALL, this session is for you. Mark your calendar and make time to connect with fellow educators, researchers, and CALL enthusiasts.
2. JALTCALL Spring Symposium 2026

Save the Date: Teacher Development Symposium on EdTech

March 7, 2026 (Saturday) @ Kyoritsu Women’s University, Tokyo

After the resounding success of our collaborative online spring symposium with EUROCALL in early 2025, we’re excited to announce an in-person installment of this dynamic and engaging event. The JALTCALL Spring Symposium in 2026 will focus on teacher development with educational technology and will be held in collaboration with several other JALT SIGs. This one-day event will focus on exploring educational technology for professional growth—designed for educators who want to expand their knowledge, share ideas, and gain hands-on experience with tools that can transform teaching and learning.

Whether you're curious about the latest in edtech or looking to deepen your skills, this symposium offers something for everyone.

We plan to announce speakers, workshops, and the schedule in December. Registration for this event will open in January. A special announcement will go out when details have been confirmed.

In the meantime, mark your calendars for Saturday, March 7 (2026) at Kyoritsu Women’s University in Tokyo!
