I know it's HOT in Burbank, but wait till you taste what we're making this week...

When "the heat is on," that's when I get creative with food! But before I get into the details of what you see above, I'm letting you know that our fully air-conditioned bakery is like an oasis in the asphalt desert of Burbank. Come inside and cool down while you feast your eyes on 3 new menu items: Keto/Plant Paradox-friendly Blueberry Muffins, Strawberry Coconut Cream Popsicles, and Cinnamon Raisin Maple Pecan Sourdough Rolls! Now where shall I begin...

It must have been fate when George Yemetz came to Random Acts of Breadness with a sample jar of his family farm's organic, skinless almond butter. After tasting it, I added the almond butter to our menu immediately and we sold about a dozen jars that first week! He also gave me some samples of his organic, skinless almond flour.

I have had requests for keto-friendly items so I went on a mission to make muffins using this almond flour. After a few test batches, I'm ready to premier our first Gluten-free Keto/Plant Paradox-friendly Blueberry Muffins!

These are big muffins (6 to a tin), made with mostly organic ingredients like blueberries, almond flour, vanilla, pastured eggs, coconut oil, coconut milk, and sweetened with monk fruit and allulose. I even made the baking powder from scratch so it would contain no corn starch (which is a usual ingredient in baking powder).

I had one of these muffins for breakfast yesterday and not only is it moist and tasty, it kept me going for several hours! We'll have a small batch of these ready to purchase starting this Friday.

Next up is another secret kitchen project that's now ready for prime time: our Strawberry Coconut Cream Popsicle! All organic and made from just these 2 ingredients, you'll be amazed at how chill, refreshing and satisfying these popsicles are!

Rounding out this tantalizing trio are our Cinnamon Raisin Maple Pecan Sourdough Rolls! While offering a new customer a sample of our Cinnamon Raisin Maple Pecan Sourdough, he asked if we had that as rolls. I told him we didn't but that it was a great idea! So this week we "made it so" and have these rolls in bags of 3 to go with our Traditional Country Loaf Rolls in bags of 4. We have limited quantities of these rolls so order at breadness.com to reserve yours.

If you live outside of So Cal, we can now ship 2-Day Air (or Ground service) on Wednesday (unsliced bread) for Friday delivery (orders that require 2-Day Air shipping must be in by Wednesday morning!).
