Replications gaining momentum |
FORRT's Replication Hub initiative to make replication research more visible, accessible, and impactful continues to gain recognition across the Open Science community.
🔹The Research on Research Institute recently highlighted the journey from FORRT's original replication list to FLoRA, now containing over 2,100 original–replication study pairs and powering a growing ecosystem of tools for discovering, conducting, and sharing replications, such as the Replication Atlas and Zotero Plugin.
🔹In an interview with Open Economics, Lukas Röseler, Flávio Azevedo and Lukas Wallrich discussed the new diamond open access journal Replication Research (R2). They also reflect on the growing importance of robust, repeatable science and share practical guidance for researchers interested in conducting and publishing replication work.

📣Call for Validators: FLoRA 📣 |
Join one of FORRT’s largest and most impactful projects: FLoRA — the FORRT Library of Replication and Reproduction Attempts — the world’s largest database of replication studies, currently containing 2,100+ original–replication study pairs and supported by nearly 250 contributors worldwide. 🌍✨
Over the next 12 months, we’re preparing a major paper describing the database — and we need your help!
We’re looking for volunteers to: 🔹 Validate existing entries and classifications 💡 No statistics required — just careful, meaningful work open to researchers at any career stage.
We now have a gamified app for people wanting to contribute to FLoRA. Conduct 20 correct validations & become a contributor of the largest replication database. |
Big Team Science Conference 2026 |

The program will feature research talks, symposia, panels, hackathons, and keynote sessions, including speakers from the Center for Open Science's SCORE and CREP initiatives, as well as a live recording of the Research as it Happens podcast. The conference is also launching a Call for New Voices, inviting collaborators whose perspectives are often underrepresented in Big Team Science.
