And just like that, it’s fall.

I love fall! The fresh crisp air, changing golden leaves, and the promise of new school supplies!

The Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah) and Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) happen in September and always begin a time of reflection and remembrance for me. For an interesting dive into this time of year, check out this website, DO YOU 10Q, a project of reflection and connection to review your year. The answers are vaulted and sent back to you one year later. It is a marvelous way to reflect and remember and capture a moment in time.
This summer was busy in all the good ways. I had several events around my book with the highlights being a reading/conversation with Dad in Salida and the opportunity to share the magic of Labyrinths with a group of educators in Englewood. We had a fantastic time, and I was able to share my portable labyrinth!

I spent quite a bit of time with Dad. Right before Memorial Day weekend, Dad was in an accident. He walked away from it. But lost his license (Colorado law). Great news, he has his license back and is doing just fine.  He has taken every step in stride. Beautifully. I am so grateful for his tenacity, for our friendship the love we have for one another, and for figuring out life. I also love spending time with him....

So... I wrote about it.  I am excited to share the story of Dad's accident in a collaborative book with a group of amazing writers that will come out in November.  Writing in a collaborative book was a totally different and also amazing experience and I look forward to sharing it with everyone! Planting the Seed, release date November 16th

I was able to do a writing retreat in upstate Vermont with my publishing company, Red Thread Publishing. I snuck in a quick visit with Hannah to see Abraham in Michigan.

Each new place I visited, we found a labyrinth to walk!

One of the questions from that list of Do you 10Q is about what you think the next year will bring for you. Any day now, I will be getting my vaulted questions from last year. I cannot wait to read what I wrote a year ago. I am sure I did not predict any of the true magic this year has brought me.

Just a few days ago, the quote below popped up in my Facebook feed. I am so grateful for letting the unexpected happen.

Thank you all for sharing my journey. Maybe I will see you at the labyrinth.

Much love,

What's Coming Up?

Besides our collaborative book out in November, there are many things on the horizon!
All September

Through the month of September, my book, Seeking Clarity in the Labyrinth, a Daughter’s Journey through Alzheimer’s, is in a cover contest! These contests bring great visibility and exposure to my book! I would be grateful if you voted for me! There are several rounds and every vote counts! I am trending in the top 10 and hope to land in the top 3!
