NYC’s own Chinese food fest, Black Myth: Wukong introduces gamers to ancient temples, and more

It’s September, and not only is China getting back to school, but art is in the air (I’ll have to get back to you about whether or not these two occurrences are connected). Not only did Shanghai art fair Art021 make its Hong Kong debut last week, but based on Instagram and WeChat Moments, it looks like half of the Chinese art world is currently in Seoul for the Frieze fair and a spate of museum openings.

Fittingly enough, our monthly theme for September looks at emerging artists. A Chinese Street Food Festival, By Way of New York City

Sitting down at a restaurant to eat one dish and one cuisine is frankly overrated.

It’s boring to only order one entree for yourself and enjoy just a single flavor. As the conventional wisdom goes in China: only kids do multiple choice, adults want it all (小孩子才做选择，成年人全都要)!

Having it all is what it feels like to be at Dragon Fest, the largest Chinese food and culture festival in New York City. Currently in its second year, the festival now spans from June until October, featuring 24 events that bring together food vendors, artists, and cultural organizations across the Chinese community.
