5th July Horizons Recording at Prior Park Chapel

Horizons Choir will be making a recording of pieces written by me in Prior Park Chapel.  This glorious building has a fabulous acoustic, and is a joy to sing in.  We will be recording my compositions that the choir have performed over the past two years - such as My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean, Jubilate Deo, and Shall I compare thee to a summer's day.  We will also be recording some new pieces that I am especially proud of; including Remember (a beautiful poem by Christina Rossetti), and A Joyful Song (The title are the only lyrics).  The album will be about 45 minutes long.

The recording will cost us around £500.   I have set up a GoFundMe page in the hope that many of you will want to get your hands on the recording the moment it's ready, and would like to support this venture both for the choir, and for me as a composer.  I'm asking for donations of £10 and above to help us out - and in return will be sending you the recording as soon as it is completed.

TRIPLE CHOIR SHOWCASE WITH HORIZONS
Wednesday 10th July 6:30pm
Wiltshire Music Centre

Horizons choir will be teaming up with Bath Community Gospel Choir and the PSG choirs for this midweek concert in the wonderful Wiltshire Music Centre.  Horizons have not performed there before so this is another concert venue to tick off our list.  The choirs are all very contrasting - which is what I love about choirs!  You will be in for a mid week treat.

FROME GOOD AFTERNOON CHOIR &
TAUNTON DEANE MALE VOICE CHOIR

The Frome Good Afternoon Choir will be joined by the wonderful Taunton Deane Male Voice Choir to lift the rafters of Holy Trinity.  A fantastic evening of singing as part of the Frome Festival

CHOIRS IN THE PUB GARDEN
Saturday 20th July from 7:00pm
The Packhorse, Southstoke

Horizons Choir, The Notebales, The Bellini Girls, The Combe Down Community Choir and more will be performing short sets outside in the garden of The Packhorse Pub in Southstoke.  Its a fabulous pub, with great food, beer and a wonderful summer garden.  A free evening, raising some money for a local charity through a bucket collection.  The sun will shine, the choirs will smile, the beer and cider will flow - what a great way to end the summer term.  If you belong to a choir that you think would like to join in - do let me know!!!

The event is free. Please come by bus to the Cross keys and then walk to the pub. Cycle or park near to the Cross Keys pub on Midford Road and stroll to the pub.  Do not attempt to park in the car park or the village - there will not be room!

MY FAIR LADY - Theatre Royal Bath
10th - 14th September

I will be conducting this show at the Theatre Royal Bath.  Come and hear a 19 piece orchestra and a fabulous cast perform this much loved show.
