Rutland & Stamford Sound
Great Music, Local Life
Hello and welcome to the November 2025 Newsletter
Support our Online Auction!

Have you seen our first ever online auction? It features an incredible array of prizes donated by local businesses - everything from unique experiences and delicious treats to exclusive products and vouchers. You can even bid to be a DJ for an hour, to have a family member read the weather forecast on our Breakfast Show, or choose an on-air playlist.

The auction is an important fundraiser for Rutland & Stamford Sound, playing a vital role in ensuring that we can continue serving the local community as an independent not-for-profit community station. The auction runs until 14 December.

Christmas festivities in Stamford, Uppingham and Oakham

Come and say hello to the Rutland & Stamford Sound team at events across our area over the festive period. We will be at Stamford Christmas Market on Sunday 30 November, Uppingham late night shopping on Thursday 4 December and Oakham late night shopping Monday 15 December.

If you are organising your own event, at any time of year, help to boost attendance by adding details to our Events Calendar. We provide free listings and free on-air shouts for charities and not-for-profit community organisations.
DAB update

Following extensive work by Rob Persani and a team of technical experts, our DAB+ service was restored on 20 November. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the extended outage. The online service continued as normal throughout, including on our Apps and on Alexa smart speakers, as well as via our website and internet radios. We are continuing to monitor the DAB+ service. If you notice anything amiss, please let us know via our Listener Feedback form.
An Evening of Sport

Thank you to everyone who supported our Evening of Sport at Stamford Corn Exchange earlier this month. It was a wonderful evening of entertainment, featuring star names from no fewer than seven different sports.

We are grateful to the businesses that donated prizes to the Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing Raffle. If you were not able to join us at the Corn Exchange, there are still a couple of weeks left to buy raffle tickets. Tickets can be purchased online or in person from our gazebo at the Christmas events in Stamford and Uppingham. First prize is a full year’s membership of Equilibrium Gym & Fitness Club in Ketton!
