NOTE: If this is your first Breadness Buzz, or if you've been part of our tribe but missed earlier posts, visit the Breadness Buzz Archive here and catch up on this content written especially for you (by me!). It's a great way to meet like-minded artisan sourdough aficionados and be part of this journey I started back in 2016. And now for this week's Buzz...

What was Noelle doing on stage with the Monkee Men?

Last Saturday was a blast from the past! The Monkee Men (Monkees tribute band) opened the show in what was their very first public performance! Anyone familiar with the group and the 60s TV show would appreciate the attention to detail and casting of this lookalike/soundalike band. During their set, the Davy Jones character called a few people from the "dance pit" area in front of the stage to come up and dance. One of our earliest Breadness cheerleaders (whose photo is on the feature wall at our bakery) is Noelle North. And being a professional dancer and instructor, she did not disappoint! Click/tap the above image to catch a taste of Noelle's talents (don't miss what she does at the very end of her dance...). Her hubby, Michael Norris, was also in attendance. I've known Michael and Noelle for many years so it was such fun to see Noelle light up the audience with her gifts...

Hey, hey we're the Bread Fans...

After the Monkee Men finished their set, the stage hands went to work getting things ready for The Fab Four. During this intermission, the raffle prize drawing was held which included a $50 Gift Card to Random Acts of Breadness. After the drawing, I passed about 30 pieces of our Artisan Country Sourdough bread to people all around near our seats. Here's a photo of some of our new Fab Fans with bakery promo cards in hands...

This weekend's concert features The Long Run (Eagles tribute band) and Ronstadt Revival as the opening act. Come join us for another beautiful evening under the stars and yet another chance to win a $50 Gift Card to our bakery shop! Tickets are available at StarlightBowl.com.

Parking is $10 and there are shuttle buses to take you up the hill to the entrance gate if you would rather not make the hilly walk. Gates open at 5:30; concert begins at 6:30p. Bring a picnic to eat at your seat!

Artisan Sourdough Crisps: Now Online!

That's right! Our latest taste sensation is getting crispy kudos all around. And now you can order them in advance in our online store. Available in 4 flavors! Come by the bakery for free samples as well.

It's been brutally hot this past week. But it's nice and cool inside Random Acts of Breadness, an oasis in the So Cal desert. And we've got our Balsamic Breeze and Chocolate Chill cold beverages to refresh and rehydrate your system with food-based electrolytes.

Be sure to ask for one of these drinks next time you come in!

This week at the bakery: Fresh and Frozen...

Many of our customers buy more than one loaf of bread so they can freeze it for later use. If you plan on freezing your bread, let us know so we can give you bread that's already frozen and double bagged. Many of the frozen loaves are already sliced, making it easy for you to take only the slices you want from the frozen loaf and letting them thaw in another sealed bag on your counter for about 30 minutes. We have fresh and frozen Country Loaves and Cinnamon Raisin Maple Pecan Loaves.

Random Acts of Breadness is located at 2214 West Magnolia Blvd. in Burbank (2-1/2 blocks east of Buena Vista on the south side of the street). Come to the bakery and sample our artisan wares, or order on line for bakery pickup, or have Breadness delivered or shipped to your door. You may also order by phone at 818-562-7303 and pay when you come pick it up. We're open Friday & Saturday 12 to 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Reminder: If you (or someone you wish to gift) live within 120 miles of Los Angeles, we can ship on Thursday (via UPS Ground) and in most cases your Breadness Box will arrive on Friday (Saturday at the latest). Place your order before Thursday at noon here

Enjoy a "slice of life" from Random Acts of Breadness!

From our hands to yours...
