Last weekend saw our senior teams enjoy the bye round, getting some much-needed rest before starting the second half of the season against West Harbour this weekend. At the same time, Gordon Juniors were doing battle at a variety of locations across the state in State Champs with plenty of Gordon Seniors involved in coaching and some great results across both the boys and girls junior programs.
In the meantime, we felt it pertinent to dive deeper into the Mary Rossi Annual Gordon Lunch, which was a huge success on the final Friday in May. To begin with, we want to thank our Major Sponsor for the Lunch, Mary Rossi Travel, for all their assistance in the lead-up to and on the day of the lunch. There is no doubt that without their support, the day would not have been as successful as it was. Whether it was enjoying being kept in line by Nick McArdle, getting some laughs with Dave O'Neill, or hearing the Mortlock Brothers tell stories about who used to belt who in the backyard, it was a really wonderful day to celebrate all that is great with Gordon Rugby whilst continuing to build into not only the season ahead, but also the Gordon future.
