European Aquatics signed a letter of commitment for the Sports for Climate Action Framework on September 12. The framework proposes that the sports sector reaches net-zero emissions by 2050. Organisations also commit to various principles and values related to collaboration, education and advocacy for climate action.
The Swim Safe Europe Course for Coaches - Icelandic SA & Faroe IAF took place from October 10 - 12, in Reykjavik, Iceland. There were 34 attendees, with Aldo Costa, Boro Štrumbelj and Rokur í Jákupsstovu serving as instructors.
The Special Olympics - Sport Conference "Between the Games" took place in Larnaca, Cyprus from October 21 - 24. A meeting was also held to finalize the activity plan for 2025/2026.
On Thursday October 23, SOEE also organized a panel discussion called Between the Partnerships - Expanding Sports. President Antonio Silva was a speaker together Nicolas Messner, from International Judo Federation, and Nick Rossides, representing Cyprus Golf Federation.
European Aquatics was invited to join Scottish Swimming to celebrate 10 years of Scottish Swimming's Learn to Swim Framework, supported by Scottish Water. The Dynamic Earth event took place in Edinburgh on October 30. This celebration brought together valued partners and key stakeholders to reflect on the impact of the framework, recognise contributions, and look ahead to the future of Learn to Swim in Scotland. The afternoon included keynote speakers, panel conversations, and a presentation on the independent Impact Report of the Learn to Swim and the National Framework.
