On Wednesday, January 10th, the School Board approved the 2024-25 school year calendar. The calendar is the work of a committee made up of administrators, teachers, and parents who meet to consider all of the state requirements and the needs of the schools.
The start and end dates of school, as well as winter and spring breaks, are in line with other area districts. We use the professional learning time built into the calendar to give staff time to collaborate as school and district-wide teams to ensure Department of Public Instruction requirements, as well as those of the district’s Strategic Plan, are met.
Highlights of the calendar:
- The school year starts on September 3, the day after Labor Day.
- The number of half days was cut from 15 to 9.
- Winter Break is set to be from Dec. 23- Jan 1 with students returning on Jan. 2
- Spring Break will be from March 24-28
- The last day of school will be Thursday, June 12.
