GSP won UFC titles in both the welterweight and middleweight divisions, and has spent considerable time working on his mental game. Once he enters the octagon, it clearly shows.

Steph Curry continues to amaze basketball fans around the world. After he opened the NBA season with a poor 5-of-21 shooting night, he rebounded by making 16-of-25 shots, including his first 10 shots in a row, and tallying 45 points. After the game, he discussed how he earned his confidence. We also learned that he counts any shot in practice that goes in, but hits the rim, as a miss. It's this mentality that allows Steph to perform at an elite level.
Looking for a simple technique to help you thrive, not just survive, in the moments that matter?  Try the S.T.O.P. method. When you're feeling stress:
Stop - Whatever you're doing, take a time-out, and pause.
Take a breath - Breathe in slowly through the nose, and exhale even more slowly, controlling the breath with your diaphragm.
Observe - Notice your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and physical reactions.
Proceed - Go about your business, not mindlessly, but mindfully.  Select a course of action that has the greatest impact.
