What's this? It's Santa with a Chocolate Chill in one hand and a GingerBreadness Artisan Sourdough Crisp in the other! That's right... Santa's demanding schedule got even more so this year so we elevated the "milk & cookies" custom to another level! Our made-to-order Chocolate Chill is a sugar-free, dairy-free "chocolate milk" drink that customers tell us tastes like melted chocolate ice cream. And our wintertime classic GingerBreadness has been made into delicate flatbread Crisps for a healthy snack on the go. Come to the bakery this weekend and try the combo for yourself. There's only so many bags of GingerBreadness Crisps on the rack; when they're gone, they're gone until next December! And don't forget to share some with Santa Sunday night...

Winter holidays are great but it's so easy to to go overboard on all the party food, elaborate dinners, desserts and beverages. At Random Acts of Breadness, all of our offerings are made with the best ingredients and true dedication to the art of small-batch food. The result is food that tastes amazing and is nourishing as well. When food is nourishing, you eat less, you feel better, and you have more energy to play during this festive time of year!

It all starts with our organic, artisan sourdough breads made the time-honored European way. Eaten with a healthy fat like raw butter, olive oil, avocado, NuttZo nut/seed butter, or cheeses from southern Europe, these breads become resistive starches that feed the friendly bacteria in your gut. Our Raw Butter is easier to digest than pasteurized butter (and you can taste the difference, too). Our Raw Honey Spreads from Napa not only taste great, but they're made on a bee farm powered entirely by solar power. We source our Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oils from Ojai Olive Oil Company, and they source their Balsamic Vinegars from Modena, Italy. We carry 3 additional Balsamics from Modena (via Seattle) and they are organic, thicker and packaged in artfully-designed bottles. Our Fresh Tapenades are made and delivered to us personally by Lisa in Pasadena. And you won't find a more diverse array of "jamazing" flavor combinations than Artisan Jams by Laura Ann.

We received an order from a lady in Switzerland! She found us by searching for sourdough bread gifts in Los Angeles. We were the first non-sponsored "organic" listing on the page ("organic" here means occurring naturally without paying for a better position in Google or other search engines). She had us ship a 3-loaf Breadness Box and a Signature Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil to her folks who live in the LA area. Initially I had a question about the order and e-mailed the customer for clarification. I ended up connecting with her sister who lives in Hawaii! From there I received an e-mail from the customer in Switzerland who shared some information about her grandmother, Lee, who set the land speed record for a woman at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1965. And Lee's husband was Craig Breedlove, the worlds fastest land speed record holder!

Random Acts of Breadness is located at 2214 West Magnolia Blvd. in Burbank (2-1/2 blocks east of Buena Vista on the south side of the street). Come to the bakery and sample our artisan wares, or order on line for bakery pickup, or have Breadness delivered or shipped to your door. You may also order by phone at 818-562-7303 and pay when you come pick it up. We're open Friday & Saturday 12 to 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Reminder: If you (or someone you wish to gift) live within 120 miles of Los Angeles, we can ship on Thursday (via UPS Ground) and in most cases your Breadness Box will arrive on Friday (Saturday at the latest). Place your order before Thursday at noon here.
