Growing challenge

RRW have been busy bringing their learning to life through role play in our Central Garden Centre. The children have enjoyed buying seeds and plants, potting flowers and working together in the shop, developing their imagination, language and understanding of how plants grow.

Reception Stay and Play

All children from Reception to Year 6 can enjoy a special menu any day next week at our FREE breakfast club.

Breakfast club is open to children from Reception to Year 6 (not Nursery) at Central Upper and Central Lower free of charge from 7.45am to 8.30am. 

The special menu is for next week only (Monday June 8 to Friday June 12) and no pre-booking is required.

Give your child a healthy, nutritious start to the day and take advantage of some free early morning childcare - all funded by the Government scheme.

Reception have wheely good time on balance bikes 

Reception have had a wheely good time on the balance bikes this week, which will be used for PE over this next half term.

Druridge Bay beach trip

Year 1 had a fab beach day at Druridge Bay on Wednesday! Other upcoming trips including Year 2's visit to Seaton Delaval next week.

Route to success

Over the last few weeks during our new PHSE lessons, Year 1 have been learning about what it means to set simple goals and aspirations and how they would achieve this. The children have worked on thinking skills, teamwork and reflection. 1TM have also been working on a small project together to create a map and produced a picnic to share with the rest of their friends. We had a lovely time and everyone loved trying to find the clues on the way to find us! 

All keyed up

Year 2 enjoyed learning how to play a percussion instrument this week – the glockenspiel. 

Floating a boat

4VW have done an excellent job in DT making a boat with a pop-up feature and luckily all of them floated and were able to carry a car!

Breakdancing and Freestyle Football Festival

Year 6 enjoyed an exciting trip to a Breakdancing and Freestyle Football Festival, where they had the opportunity to learn new skills from professional performers. Throughout the morning, pupils demonstrated resilience while practising impressive tricks and creative routines. 

Fire service warning

With the summer approaching, Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service would like to encourage parents and carers to discuss the risks of deliberate fire setting with their children. Deliberately starting fires can have serious consequences and can endanger lives, property, the local environment, impact upon our fire crews and resources across Northumberland. Please have a look at the deliberate fire setting leaflet to help support understanding, with contact details to provide further support where required.
