Thoughts, Prayers and How We Can Help...

I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and together during this devastating time. Mother Nature is a wondrous thing, but she can also be tempestuous, reminding us that we are coexisting in her domain, for better or for worse. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who have had to leave their homes and memories, and are now faced with the challenge of starting all over again.

Though we cannot reverse what has already been done, we can all do something to help.

I've chosen to help by providing a quantity of our artisan sourdough bread to the First Responders who are definitely in need of healthy food and supplies. In addition to what we will be donating, you can help support us in this endeavor by purchasing a loaf of Breadness for half-price which we will then deliver to the support teams for the First Responders. Since we are closest to the Altadena fire, our loaves will go to those teams. We'll do this until we run out of our allotment of bread for that day.

The above photo was taken last year we donated loaves of Breadness to each of the Burbank Fire Stations. There were no fires or life-threatening situations, like now. But I felt these people, who put their life on the line for us every day, were/are deserving of Random Acts of Breadness. 


We are open this week, but...

Power was restored to the bakery at 4:50am on Wednesday. Later in the day, we brought all the rescued items back to bakery and put them back in their proper places.

With Rhys currently under the weather, Alyssa's been doing an outstanding job and Cyndie's been stepping up as well. We're down to just 3 of us keeping the ship afloat while sailing these stormy seas.
