An overwhelming 89% of you voted at the June 2024 Town Meeting to proceed with the final design phase for the new Town Office/ Community Center. Since then, the Town has been working with the architect and engineers to finalize the design and begin the local, state, and federal permitting processes.
Thanks to your support in June, the Town has also cleared a major hurdle in its efforts to receive $2.35 million in federal funding for the project, which would bring us more than halfway to the total expected project cost.
Now, the Town is seeking volunteers to help raise money to minimize the amount of money the Town will have to borrow to finish the project. We are forming a Fundraising Committee to identify and reach out to potential supporters, including grant-makers, area businesses, philanthropists, and local residents, to support our efforts.
