A hearty WELCOME BACK to all who participated in the mighty Celebration Sing Out! 2024. Welcome also to returning singers from previous years, and also an especially warm welcome to singers joining us for the first time this year.
Congratulations to all who made great music and raised $38,000 for Music Therapy at the Children's Hospital at Westmead in 2024.
Celebration Sing Out! once again invites you, and all who love to sing, to share the healing power of great choral music together with choirs and individual singers from Sydney and right across NSW.
We will again be lifting up our many hundreds of voices in our annual massed community choral and orchestral concert, to raise more much-needed funds for Music Therapy at the Children's Hospital at Westmead.
This year's concert will be live at Sydney Town Hall on 26th October at 4pm.
With Brett Weymark OAM (Artistic Director and Conductor of the Sydney Philharmonia) as our Patron and Guest Conductor, myself as Music Director and Warren Fisher as Associate Music Director, and conductors Jay House (Primary Choirs) and Fiona Lucas (TOPS, The Celebration Orchestra), Celebration Sing Out! you will be guaranteed another grand experience of heartwarming and inspirational choral singing in the iconic Sydney Town Hall. You will once again experience the joy and camaraderie of performing in a community choir of youth and adult voices, plus a grand finale including massed primary school choirs.
The concert program for this year includes Combined Primary Choirs
singing memorable works such as Dreams That Children Dream (Ruth Elaine Schram and Celsie Staggers) and Postcard From the Dreaming (Deborah Cheetham).
The Secondary and Adult Combined Choir will sing the great favourites, Zadok the Priest (Handel), Polovtsian Dances (Borodin) and Benedictus and Better is Peace from The Armed Man (A Mass for Peace), by Karl Jenkins.
The Massed Choral and Orchestral Item will be a specially arranged Crowded House Medley. The concert program will be enriched with performances by guest artists.
