Egads we are getting close!! Here are some important reminders and pointers for you as we all scramble to pack all the things:
ARRIVAL INFO REMINDER Reverbia's location is 8:15 & Esplanade. And we stretch all the way back to 'A" Street. When you arrive, come to 8:15 & "A" Street (NOT Esplanade). Placement Team will be in the Embassy Teahouse to welcome you🤗!
Do not do anything else until you have reported to them. Do not arrive at Reverbia between Midnight and 8am. Do not park your car and wander off. VOLUNTEER SHIFTS Write down your shift days and times, and turn up to those shifts on time, sober, and full of light & love.
Haven't signed up yet? WHAT😱?!! Please do so immediately! The deadline for signing up online is 11:59pm Sunday, August 18th. CONSIDER NOT PANIC BUYING AT WALMART ON YOUR WAY IN Bringing a few big water jugs from home filled with tap water for emergencies is a good idea. Stopping at Walmart on the way in and buying individual plastic water bottles, wrapped in more plastic is a terrible idea. Stopping at Walmart on the way in and panic buying useless, plastic, crappy crap because you suddenly feel unprepared is THE WORST IDEA. You got this! You don't need no stinkin' Walmart!💪💚
Actively help the camp by keeping your own area clean on the daily, as well as helping around camp during meals, showers and other shared areas where the collective hive-moop-mind helps everything run smoother. Read and absorb
all the info the BMorg has about LNT.
FINISH YOUR BEER One of the hardest moops to deal with is liquids! Every time you open a beverage can... be prepared to finish that beverage... down to the last warm, dusty drop.
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR UNFINISHED DRINKS AROUND CAMP. DO NOT DUMP YOUR UNFINISHED DRINKS IN THE EVAP PONDS, ON THE PLAYA, OR ANYWHERE ELSE. The only way that liquid is coming off the playa is by filtering it through your body and depositing it in an outhouse.
DISH LICKING/WASHINGRemember to bring your own reusable cups, plates, bowls and cutlery. No disposables at Reverbia! We will have a waterless dishwashing station next to the kitchen, where you can lick, spray, wipe, and sanitize your dishes. However, those of you staying in RV's and other vehicles, we encourage you to please, if you can, clean your stuff there, using your own resources instead of the camp's. LNT Team is bringing EXACTLY one paper towel, per person, per meal (based on 2 meals) per day. No more, no less. When we run out, that's it!
LEAVE SPACE FOR PACKING OUT AT LEAST ONE BAG OF CAMP GARBAGE PER PERSON Do not leave the burn without taking your share of communal kitchen garbage! One bag per person minimum... but anybody that has room for more than that, please step up! Those of you on the burner bus, you will get smaller bags provided by the BMorg, and if you don't fill them with your own personal trash/recycling, please top up with Reverbia trash/recycling.
SUNDAY TEARDOWN We all help tear down camp on Sunday Sept.1st after our closing circle at 11:30am and group photo - don't miss it! Communal Effort for the win!
SH*T HAPPENS Man plans; the Playa laughs. Remember that things can (and do) go wrong at Burning Man! The water truck might skip us one day. A power distribution box could get run over. The showers can break. In times like that, please lead with the attitude of: "how can
we help fix this?" rather than "hey reverbia leadership, fix this!". There is no "staff" at Reverbia. We are all working together... to survive and thrive in an extremely harsh environment, and to bring Live Music to Black Rock City!
