St. Chrysostom's Church Weekly News Friday 3 July 2026

Mass this weekend will be at 11am, where Fr Admos will celebrate and Wayne will preach.

Mass this weekend is for the Fifth Sunday after Trinity Sunday

In this Sunday’s Gospel from Matthew Chaper 11, we hear where Jesus reflects on the hardness of people’s hearts, likening them to children who reject both joy and lament. He offers thanks to the Father for revealing divine mysteries to the humble rather than the proud. Jesus calls all who labour and are burdened to come to Him, promising rest and peace to gentle hearts.

We hope to see you all there - you are very welcome.

Lauds (Morning prayer) this Sunday will be 10.30am, and is the perfect way to prepare yourself for Holy Mass at 11am.

Mid week service Thursday 9 July - 1pm
David Jackman will continue a series of mid-week services. He will be leading a service of silent meditation for 20 minutes, with scripture readings from the Mass of the day
This is becoming quite a busy afternoon, do come along.

A message from Sandra - Tayo's memorial service

We're reminded that the memorial service for Tayo will be taking place on Friday 10 July at 1:15pm at St John's School, Clarence Road.

It would be lovely to see a number from the congregation representing the church.
