Our Monday and Thursday evenings are both now up and running (sorry for the delays). I’d like to thank you for the amazing support you’ve shown, despite the horrible weather lately. Please continue to keep an eye on any last-minute messages on the WhatsApp groups.

✨ Free Salsa Taster for Absolute Beginners
Thursday 26th February

We’re running our next FREE salsa taster session on:

• 📅 Thursday 26th February

• ⏰ 7:30–8:30pm

• 📍 St Wilfrid’s School, Eastern Road, Haywards Heath, RH16 3NL

This is always a relaxed, friendly hour where absolute beginners can try salsa for the first time. No partner needed, no experience required. Please just come along and enjoy yourself.

If you fall in love with salsa on the night, we can offer a 4 week Beginners Course that will start the following week on Thursday 5th March, at the same venue (the course will run, subject to a minimum number of bookings on the night of the free taster).

There’s absolutely no obligation to book for anything, but we will be offering a discounted price for the 4-week course to attendees of the taster.

💃 Monday Evenings at Wivelsfield Village Hall

We have two great sessions on offer during February at Wivelsfield and both are perfect for anyone wanting to build confidence, refresh their skills, or reconnect with the SalsaJulia community.

Beginner (III) 4 Week Course

Starts Monday 9th February 7:00–8:00pm Wivelsfield Village Hall, Eastern Road, Wivelsfield Green, RH17 7QH

This course is ideal for dancers who have recently completed the Beginner (II) Course, or for anyone who learned a while ago and would love a gentle, confidence boosting return to salsa.

£35 for those who’ve just finished Beginner (II)
£40 for everyone else (still great value!)

We’ll recap key foundations, add new moves, and help you feel comfortable and ready for the next level (i.e. Improver)

The closing date for bookings is today, and we already have 20 confirmed salseros for this course. We do have space for one or two more, so please drop me a line, but just to mention that this course would not be suitable for absolute beginners.

Every Monday a large group of leader and followers have always shown up to support our beginner group at 7pm. We really love this, as it proves how supportive our community truly is. Thank you so much – please continue to come and support us.

Easy‑Level Routines & Rueda (Pay-as-you-go £9)

Mondays, 8:15–9:15pm Same venue: Wivelsfield Village Hall

For dancers with a solid foundation in Cuban‑style salsa (very confident Improver and above), this session is all about fun, flow, and dancing together. Last week we welcomed a wonderful mix of returning dancers and familiar members of our community. It was such a joy to see everyone back on the floor again.

If you’ve been away for a while, this is a perfect, low‑pressure way to reconnect with the SalsaJulia Community.

💃 Thursday Evenings a St. Wilfrid’s School

Again, my thanks for joining us on Thursday evenings and braving the elements. We’re struggling to remember the last time it wasn’t raining on a Thursday evening! Roll on Spring!

For quite some time now, we’ve only offered one session on a Thursday. As well as the Intermediate pay-as-you-go, the forward plan will be to run a new beginner group and also an improver recap level (as we’re very lucky to have access to two halls at the school). Please bear with us while our expansion plans evolve and our beloved SalsaJulia Team have more availability. For now, we’ll continue to run the one pay-as-you-go session at 7.30pm.

Intermediate Routines & Rueda (Pay-as-you-go £9)

Thursdays, 7.30 – 8.30pm Venue: St Wilfrid’s School, Eastern Road, Haywards Heath, RH16 3NL

Our Monday and Thursday pay-as-you-go groups are very similar (i.e. a great little routine, rueda and lots of recap). The intention for the Thursday group is to pick up the pace a teeny bit more, but please don’t worry, it will still remain a stress-free session. As mentioned previously, we’ll be offering a recap level on the same evening eventually, to keep everyone busy! Further details will follow (and yes, there will be a discounted rate to do two classes on the same evening 😉).
