Dear Affinity Ranch Family,
What a truly wonderful month February has been! In honor of our longest-serving volunteer, Philip Auteri, we’ve affectionately named this month PHILBUARY. Philip has been an integral part of Affinity Ranch since 1998, and his unwavering dedication has touched every corner of our community. Whether as a side-walker, horse leader, barn chore assistant, or a trusted handyman, Phil is always ready to lend a hand and improve the lives of our horses, small animals, clients, employees, and fellow volunteers.
His tireless efforts often go unnoticed, as he’s the first to spot something that needs attention and quietly fixes it before we even have the chance to ask. Phil’s kindness, generosity, and infectious spirit make him a true treasure to us all. If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him, you’re missing out on knowing one of the kindest souls around. We’ve been so fortunate to celebrate him this month!
February also brought an outpouring of love for our animals. Thanks to our Valentine’s campaign, we received generous donations to support our beloved animals and were spoiled with an abundance of treats. The heartfelt Valentines made for our animals, staff, and volunteers filled us all with joy, and we are deeply grateful to each of you for spreading that love. Thank you!
As we look ahead to March, I’m excited to share some wonderful news. We have launched a new scheduling software called Wranglr, designed specifically for organizations like ours. This user-friendly system will make it easier for our volunteers to sign up for lessons and stay connected with the ranch. If you haven’t already joined keep an eye out for an invitation to join Wranglr. While transitioning to this new system may come with a few challenges, I am confident it will be an incredible asset to our community in the long run.
Warmly,
Shannon Forslund
